If you are thinking about purchasing a house, this might be a nice sweetener: How about a $15,000 tax credit when you purchase a home as your primary residence?

That's the amendment the Senate passed by unanimous voice vote last night.  Details on who will qualify should come out today but here are some.

The full tax credit would apply to homes worth $150,000 or more, and purchased within a year of the bill being signed into law. Homes worth under $150,000 would get a credit of 10 percent of the purchase price.
